Chase turned six!

I can hardly believe that our little Chase-man is six now! Time has just flown by, but it has been so fun to watch him grow and see his awesome personality shine. I think six is going to be a great year for Chase. It started off pretty awesome with a fun Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party with a ton of his friends. We ate pizza, played lots of Ninja Turtle games and even enjoyed a yummy cake. And because there where so many kids and so many activities, I only took pictures of him with his cake(enter busy mom fail here).

On Chase's actual birthday, both him and Fisher woke up at 3 a.m ready to party. Wayne was out of town and so it ended up being a slumber party in the boys room to get them to settle down and go back to sleep till it was actual time to get up. Once it was, we celebrated with balloons, pictures and some very yummy chocolate donuts. Once school was over and all the kids where home, we open lots more presents for this lucky kid. We then decided that since it was just us to go meet up with a friend at McDonalds for dinner. Once we arrived there Chase started complaining that he didn't feel good and I just chalked it up to lack of sleep and lots of sugar. The playplace just happened to be packed full of families all there for a school fundraiser so I hurried and ordered our food. Just as I was putting it all down Chase screamed out that he was going to puke. Which he did. All over me and the ground. So sadly I had to quickly round up a pukey kid, a screaming Fisher and an Oliver who just peed his pants because I was too busy helping Chase. I chalk it up to Murphy's law of solo parenting.

So Chase ended up spending the rest of his birthday in a bath and on the couch watching cartoons. Thankfully it was a one and done thing and he was back to his normal self by bedtime. So after baseball practice the next day, we finally got to celebrate with singing and yummy birthday cake. Which no one really mind because lets all be honest, we love when we get celebrated another day! ;) Happy Birthday sweet Chase! I can't believe you are six now! You have grown up so much and have become my best little helper! You are such a great brother to your siblings and you make friends so easily. You love play sports and learning all you can about nature and animals and you just LOVE legos. You are so amazing at building and putting things together. I love being able to snuggle and cuddle with you! I love you so much Chase-man! Happy Birthday!

Branson

For the last half of the kid's spring break we decided to head down to Branson and have a little fun. We left late Wednesday morning and took our time heading to our condo, stopping at Bass Pro's headquarters and grabbing bites to eat. By Thursday morning the weather was pretty cold and rainy so we spent the morning at a fun indoor water park. We all had a blast. We took a break and spent the rest of the afternoon at Silver Dollar City and checking out the new attractions.

Wayne hurt his back again driving down so I got lucky enough to ride all the rides with the kids. Finally, I am in some pictures!! So extremely proud of Fisher. He normally doesn't like to ride very many rides, but on this trip he rode 4 new rides and enjoyed every single one of them! Huge step for him! After spending the afternoon at Silver Dollar City, we went back and played at the water park till almost closing time. The kids had fun but it sure left them exhausted making it such a peaceful and relaxing night.

Friday we headed back to the themed park till the afternoon and then went to visit the fish hatchery and feed all of the fish. The kids had the most fun just throwing rocks into lakes and rivers and so on our way back home we would just stop at various places to let the kids out and play in the water. So easily entertained. We had such a fun and wonderful spring break. We really enjoyed our time together and to just be outside and play and play.

 

Coloring and the Zoo

Last week was our spring break here and we decided to start it off by taking advantage of the beautiful weather and play outside as much as we could. We are seriously huge fans of sidewalk chalk and love coloring and drawing as much as we can. I love watching the kids express their creative side too... man they come up with the coolest things sometimes!

We also thought it would be fun to visit the zoo too, so we packed up some yummy lunches and snacks and made a fun Saturday outing out of it. 

The new penguin house happens to be one of our favorite attractions. 

We have never seen the hippos out of the water before, so we all loved just watching them snuggle and sleep. 

  And it's not a fun trip to the zoo without a ride on the carousel!

  Our spring break started off great! Lots of fun playing outside, lunches with friends and then a wonderful trip down south to Branson. Can't wait to share more!
