fun with Geoff and Ivon

Last week my brother and his fiance, Ivon, came out to spend a couple days with us. We were so excited to have him come visit that our days were packed with trips to the zoo, the farm, the pool and of course some good eating. We had a blast with them and were so bummed when they left.

the Kansas City Zoo. Sabrina just loved Ivon and was always with her. Deanna Rose Farmstead. And some fun in the sun at our neighborhood pool! this kid just loves being in the water!! we ALWAYS love it when family and friends come to visit. We promise if you visit us, it will be fun filled for sure!

oliver :: nine months

ready for some Oliver cuteness overload?

Oliver is officially nine months now and just growing and changing everyday! He is happy and cuddling and cute and oh so fun! He hardly stays still for long which means diaper changes and photo shoots are getting harder and harder, but man is he cute! 

He is also starting to wave bye bye and loves clapping, especially when you cheer and say "yay"! He loves to cheer along with everyone else!

  And he is definitely the happiest in water. Bath, pool, water fountain, you name it and he just LOVES it! 

Oliver's siblings are always around to make sure he has plenty of toys to choose from and play with. He is always surrounded. I love it!!

  Just pure love for this little guy!

Some Oliver Stats:

Weight: 17.9 pounds. They are a little concerned with his low weight gain and his iron levels are a little low too so we are on a veggie and protein packed diet for awhile.

Height: 30 inches

Clothing: 9 months and 12 months clothing

Eating: everything but this sure loves to just feed himself. He loves eating crackers and cheerios and watermelon.

I can't express how much we love this little guy. He simply melts our hearts with his huge smile and those four little teeth. He lights up when daddy comes home and is even starting to say 'dada' every time he sees him. It's hard to believe that this little dude with be one in THREE months! Time, please slow down just for a little while!

  Chase was two and a half when he did this. He and his big brother had gotten into my mascara and I immediately had to take his picture! I couldn't get mad, I just laughed and wanted to remember this moment forever. And I am not going to lie, this is one of my all time favorite pictures of him, and I have it blown up and framed in our home for all to see. He is such a curious kid and is always into something, so I shouldn't be too surprised that his baby sister and his best friend is following right in his footsteps. 

  Here is miss Bre at two and a half and is just as curious as her big brother is.  Love these wonderful memories they create.

They definitely keep me on my toes!! Love my four little blessings!

 

the t-bones

we finally attended our first t-bone game since moving here to kc. they happen to be our AAA baseball team and since we love baseball in our house we were so excited to attend this game! it also just happened to be star-wars night too... added bonus for the boys!

wayne and the boys have been watching star wars and so when we told them that it was star wars night at the baseball game they were all so excited, including Wayne! so if you wore anything star wars you got half price tickets for the game. we dug through our clothes and even borrowed a shirt and were all decked out for the game. 

and meeting sizzle(the t-bone mascot) was a highlight of the night!! 

before the game started they had base jumpers landing into the stadium. they were definitely fun to watch and it is so amazing how they can land so close to that tiny target!

  we got cheap seats on the grass right in center field. that way the kids could run around and play if they got a little restless and we didn't have to worry about them bumping into other people. it also worked out really neat because we sat right were the players entered the field so we got to meet a lot of them, and they were so so nice to the kids. such an awesome experience. 

Oliver was a big hit with the players too! :)

we had such a fun time at the game, and even though we really didn't watch a whole lot of the game we still enjoyed every minute of the night! Plus meeting the characters of star-wars is always fun too! 

Can't wait to go back to another game!!

 

june bug ball

Our favorite farm hosted a bug ball last week. It took place after hours and there where fairies and princesses and all the animals to see! In other words, we had a ball! (pun intended)

They created a fun little scavenger hunt for all the kids with a fun little map. You had to visit each station, which was either an activity or craft or learning about neat little bugs and insects, and afterwards you turned in your stamped map for a fun little reward.

  And we all enjoyed learning about caterpillars and butterflies and seeing the cool cocoons they make. 

We even got to squeeze in some play on the fun little playgrounds!

  Trying to convince Sabrina to come down the big red slide. For some reason she did not want to come down and she usually loves that slide. Silly girl!

  They also provided fun and yummy snacks! We also got to learn about bees and the honey they make. Man do we love fresh raw honey in this family!! 

  After our delicious treats we headed over to the craft area to make paper spiders and pet rocks. The kids thought the rocks were so cool!! 

Sabrina was so proud of the stamps she was getting on her map. I love that she is holding it upside down! :)

  We had so much fun getting to enjoy our favorite farm after hours and with such a fun and creative event. We left just as the sun was beginning to go down and it made it such a beautiful night for all of us to enjoy.
