Staycations aren't so bad...

We had planned a trip to camp up near Flamming Gorge for the weekend, but that trip was cancelled last minute. Realizing that the weather would be absolutely amazing we decided to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that is close by. We decided to pack the boys up and drive to the Unita Mountains. We absolutely loved Mirror Lake and all the mountain features. Our drive was perfect and we couldn't believe that we haven't taken this trip sooner.

If you ever get a chance to go for a nice drive, we definitely recommend heading up to Mirror Lake, Utah. There is so much beautiful scenery and trails to hike, not to mention a ton of lakes to fish in! We hope you enjoy some of the pictures we took.

Colorado!

The boys and I took a trip out to Colorado so that everyone could finally meet little Chase! We had such a wonderful time and the boys got to go to their first Rockies game! We just wish that we had enough time to visit everyone!

Happy Birthday America... and Wayne!!

We celebrated the Fourth of July, which also happens to be Wayne's birthday, by heading up to Millcreek Canyon with some friends to enjoy some tinfoil dinners, s'mores and of course fireworks! The food was yummy, the weather was perfect and Fisher just loved the fireworks!

We were surprised at how well Fisher enjoyed the loud and screaming fireworks. This is the same kid that is afraid of the vacuum, the blender and the occasional dump truck, but to our surprise the fireworks made him laugh and smile! We are so thankful that we had a wonderful fourth with great friends and Wayne had an exciting birthday even though he wasn't on the water!

Utah wins the TBF Western Division, 20 anglers advance , Utah's Wayne Crowder leads them all and.........

THE WIND BLEW!

It's official!

Wayne Crowder is the new Western Divisional Champion in Bass Fishing! Wayne fished the Flaming Gorge last week and on Friday he weighed in a three day total of 33 pounds and 3 ounces and was announced the Western Champion! He beat out a total of 118 other guys from Washington, California, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico or the 10 western states. Not only was Wayne announced the champion but he also helped Utah become the Western Divisional Champion team! A first for Utah for many years! We are so happy and so proud of Wayne! His hard work is definitely paying off and now he gets to represent the state of Utah as he fishes the National Tournament next year!

You Know Where to Fine Me...

It doesn't matter if there is water in the bath or not, if you are looking for Fisher he will be playing in it! Fisher loves bath time. He could play in the bath for hours and what's even better is he will play in it even if it's completely empty. It definitely helps when mom is trying to get ready! Thankfully he doesn't play around with the knobs or even try to turn the water on. As long as he has his water cups... he is one happy little boy!
