how she rolls

Lately Miss Bre has been obsessed with books. She carries them around with her everywhere she goes, asking anyone who is willing to read them to her. Or she will just find a nice little place on the floor and quietly read to herself. Her latest has been begging to bring them in the car on every little trip we go on. I just love looking back and seeing this! The cuteness just makes me melt!

cabin fever

Wayne's work has him traveling a lot lately, and it always seems to be that the times when he is away, are the times when sickness and restless nights are a thing in our household. I am exhausted, and from a week of nursing sick and tired little ones with little interaction with the outside world, it's safe to say some cabin fever is starting to kick in.

Thankfully, this weekend brought us some warmer temperatures and sunny skies. Oh how these kids of my just love to be outside. And who knew that a couple of left over birthday balloons blown up would keep three little kids entertained for an afternoon? Wayne will be home in a couple days and I know we are all excited about that!

our mornings lately

Lately, the last few mornings have been us getting up early, quickly getting Fisher dressed, fed and off to school and two little ones begging for a morning bath.

I quite enjoy these mornings.

he never ceases to amaze me. he always seems to find the permanent markers no matter where we hide them and lock them up. i like to look at it as if he is expressing his creative side.

five years ago...

five years ago we decided to take a drive down to las vegas. we're not much gamblers, but that night we decided to gamble on us. at times the odds definitely seem to be against us.

but five years later, we're still benefiting from our winnings.

today my grandma celebrates her eightieth birthday. when i spoke with her on the phone she was pretty excited about it. she is an amazing women and i am so thankful that she is my grandma. she taught me how to garden and cook. she took my sister and i on many fun camping adventures and shopping trips. i love my grandma and so do my kids. so with that, we would just like to wish her the happiest of birthdays today!
