oliver :: twelve months

and here we are. a one year old. it came by so fast, and although i thought that i would be super emotional about my last baby growing up and not being a baby anymore, i really wasn't. Oliver is growing up and just gets more awesome and more fun everyday. he seriously is this fun little boy that just enjoys everything and everyone around him. i honestly can't remember what life was like before he joined our family but I am so happy and so blessed that he did.
photo DSC_0552copy_zpsb5fc13f1.jpg i just love and enjoy watching this kid grow. he is funny and sweet and just everything perfect. he is totally a mama's boy but he sure does enjoy his daddy too. he started this new thing which is this fake laugh. he loves to fake laugh to make you fake laugh back and then the real belly laugh comes out. Oliver thinks he is hilarious and he thinks the word "no" is hilarious. He knows exactly how to push your buttons.
photo DSC_4709copy_zps77212b48.jpg and i am excited to just see this little boy grow and blossom, just like his older siblings did. i mean, lets be honest, it is sad that there will be no baby, no tiny little person to just snuggle and sleep, but i am looking forward to the many new journeys our family will have. i am looking forward to seeing all four of my kids just play and laugh and do things together.
photo DSC_4600copy_zpsba8dba46.jpg and this sweet boy just fits in so perfectly with our family. those blue eyes and that teethy grin just floor me every time. and i love the little personality he has, like when he sucks his little thumb but only when he sleeps in his crib, or the way he adores his blue blanket just like his sister and brothers do. and this kid has the biggest determination to do things on his own, like standing or walking, he wants to do it. it's crazy to think that just a year ago we welcomed him into this world and now here he is, just so big!
photo 2_zps6f9f7fc7.jpg photo DSC_4798copy_zps5b8e4660.jpg some Oliver stats:

so last month was a rough month for our little Oliver. He became super sick and lost quite a bit of weight so the poor guy is down to 18 pounds but is growing a ton length wise

he is currently in size 4 diapers and wearing 12-18 month clothing.

Oliver is now drinking whole milk and eating everything we put in front of him. this kid just loves to eat!

today at his 12 month well visit Oliver had a double ear infection. His doctor has recommended getting tubes in his ears which we will do in a couple months when Fisher has to get the tubes in his ears removed. It will be a fun snuggle day in our family! :)
 photo DSC_5034copy_zps596e3771.jpg Oliver,

Happy birthday my sweet little boy! I can't believe you are one! I am so happy to have you be my baby boy. You have blessed me with the sweetest and calmest personality but you are definitely all boy. You are constantly on the move and just love to go! You love to wrestle with your brothers and laugh and laugh with your sister. your smile is just addictive and those blues eyes, i just love your blue eyes! I honestly can't imagine life without you! You complete our family in so many ways! I love you Mr. Oliver to the moon and back!

 Love, Mom

fun with uncle d

We were so excited when Wayne's youngest brother decided to fly out on a whim to spend a long week with us. We always enjoy having visitors come to stay but the kids just love when their aunts and uncles come, because that always means some extra attention and loving from someone so fun.

We made the most of having Uncle Derek with us. We took him to all the fun and yummy eateries, a movie, lots of outdoor fun and of course to our favorite farm and Silver Dollar City. We just had to take him to Silver Dollar City! Needless to say, it was packed full but oh so fun!
photo DSC_4341copy_zps935f22a7.jpg we definitely spent a lot of time outside sharing this awesome heatwave and humidity with uncle D. it does take a while to get use to ;)
photo DSC_4334copy_zpsf4cb26ad.jpg photo DSC_4331copy_zps917c2ae6.jpg photo DSC_4345copy_zpsc6a37d14.jpg photo DSC_4349copy_zps2199e617.jpg photo DSC_4362copy_zps7810cd64.jpg a certain someone got a little carried away with the sidewalk coloring and decided to color their baby brother instead. at least she is a creative one and he looks pretty cute!
photo 5_zps0044a42e.jpg We decided to show uncle Derek our favorite farm while the boys where in school but unfortunately I forgot my camera. Good thing I love my camera phone to help capture some of the fun moments there! Then of course we had to just take Derek to our favorite local spot here. Good ol' Silver Dollar City(or as Wayne and Derek call it, Redneck Disneyland)
photo DSC_4368copy_zps78c40883.jpg photo DSC_4374copy_zps1c614cb6.jpg I just love my silly girl! She thinks she is a riot and she is right. She is so much fun to be around.
photo DSC_4389copy_zps25054b85.jpg Love those baby blue eyes of his!!

He loves the ladybugs and of all things the teacups. I love watching him grow.
photo DSC_4452copy_zps6dc40b68.jpg photo DSC_4458copy_zpsef006345.jpg this boy was in heaven inside the ball house. absolute heaven.
photo DSC_4462copy_zpsd69ba485.jpg photo 2_zpse47cfc63.jpg photo DSC_4487copy_zps53ad5090.jpg I love how much she absolutely adores her baby brother. hearing these two laugh together is one of my favorite sounds.
photo DSC_4492copy_zps207d180f.jpg close to the end of the day it became insanely hot and we decided that we would go ride the log ride to cool off. However, the line was over an hour long and I don't think anyone wanted to wait that long. Fisher decided to go over to the huge crowd of kids who just so happened to be watching the log ride go down the big hill and the next thing you know he was complete soaked and a little surprised too!
photo DSC_4508copy_zpsa416066b.jpg Chase thought it was hilarious and stood there for awhile getting splashed and splashed.

It was definitely one way to cool off! We so enjoyed our time with Derek. The kids just adored him(as they do with all of their uncles and aunts) but it was fun to have someone here for the week. He is definitely missed and we can't wait for him to come back!!

labor day

ahh Labor day. It's the day that officially marks the end of summer. the pools are closing, school has started and the days began to get shorter and shorter. I am always a big fan of three day weekends and time spent with family is always a huge plus. we enjoyed our extra day with lots of games, yummy BBQ and some much needed quality time together.

it was pretty wonderful.

these two

i love the relationship Sabrina and Chase have with one another. the happy moments they share, the friendship they created and bond that i hope they will always carry with them. I hope when they are older and grown that they will remember and carry on this special friendship(without all of the tormenting and screaming that also comes along, but hey they are kids, right?!) But to hear these two laugh together... it's one of the best sounds ever. seriously, ever.

yes, it may not always be a lot of kissing and laughing and smiles. screaming and pinching and occasional hitting is a usual occurrence with these two, but man do these two just love and adore each other. And the moment Chase leaves to get on his bus for school, Sabrina is constantly asking and looking for when Chase is coming back home. She really does miss him when he is gone.
photo DSC_4176copy_zpsda69e57c.jpg photo DSC_4180copy_zpsc27faf78.jpg photo DSC_4189copy_zps68c4757c.jpg photo DSC_4185copy_zpsee5f35d0.jpg photo DSC_3956copy_zps5be4bbcd.jpg photo DSC_4229copy_zps019358ef.jpg photo DSC_4233copy_zpsdb168d09.jpg I guess I am pretty lucky because I think having a big brother is pretty awesome. I also know that having a little sister is pretty awesome too. I am looking forward to many, many more years of watching these two grow up with each other and hopefully continue to enjoy each other too, and even if they grow apart at least I can remember this time when they did enjoy each other so much. Because right now they are truly best friends and oh so cute together!
