crowder state park

Since we have moved here to Kansas City, a lot of our friends keep asking us if we have ever visited Crowder State Park. It's just a few hours northeast of us on your way up to Des Moines. We didn't know much about it but we decided on Sunday, during Memorial Weekend, to just take a quick drive up and check this place out. I always love our spontaneous road trips adventures, and the kids love them too!!

The kids enjoyed running on the trails and climbing and jumping on the rocks and the weather was just absolutely perfect!

It was so green and filled with giant and lush trees. We enjoyed our quick adventure up to Crowder State Park and we are so excited for our next random trip! :)

That's so cool!

I haven't been to the midwest since my grandmother died. She was from a small town called Grand River, IA. About 70 miles south of Des Moines. We used to have to travel to Bethany, Missouri where the nearest walmart was!
