Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was pretty low key and mellow. We stayed here in good ol' Kansas City and just enjoyed the day with us and a few little friends. The morning started off perfect. Just lounging on the couch, all snuggled in blankets watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade(Thomas the train float was a huge hit) and Planes Fire and Rescue. We eventually got the desire to make a nice big breakfast and get dressed late in the morning, which then gave Wayne the idea to go outside and play football. You just have to play football on Thanksgiving!!

We were blessed with a beautiful fall day, just perfect to swing, run and play outside. 

  While I quickly made a gluten/dairy free pumpkin pie for Wayne(it's actually quite yummy) the kids drew and decorated turkeys. 

I am so very thankful that our sweet and awesome friends invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner. With the all of the allergies Wayne now has to food, I was a bit overwhelmed with how we were going to make everything. It was nice to not have to stress so much about it and just enjoy some very yummy food. Plus the company was so wonderful too!

  We have so many things to be thankful for this year. It truly has been a wonderful time of year. We are counting our blessings for sure!
